one interesting fact I've learned: a 787 actually flies a bit slower than a 707. it saves fuel (hence, money) and most people don't notice a few percent difference in speed given all of the other changes in the flying experience. https://simpleflying.com/boeing-707-vs-787-dreamliner/

True! Budget airlines also employ the strategy of flying slower, even using the same aircraft. When jet fuel costs make up a large part of the plane ticket price, flying a little slow makes quite a difference.

Great article Tanner! I LIKE driving slower - less stress and less quick decisions to make! It's also helpful to know about EV range and speeds when you own one! Ruby is doing fine by the way.
